Waste is not a waste, unless we throw it away. If you, just like us, see waste as valuable resource, sorting recyclable products at home is one of the easiest ways to contribute.
2/3 in Estonia recycle
Many people in Estonia already have a zero-waste mindset. Our survey shows that sorting and reducing waste is a natural habit for 2/3 of the respondents, while 86% / 91% of them use the deposit return system.
Waste sorting at home
If you think you don’t have enough space, or you don’t know the right way to recycle at home, we’ve got you covered.
At IKEA, there are many bins and containers to choose from for your plastics, metals, paper and other recyclable products. Most of them are stackable to take up less space at your home. And if you add a drawing or a word so that you know what goes in which of the containers, it will be even easier to identify and organise for every member of the family. Even the kids!
Don’t throw away, give away
Bigger sorting bins are just as good for sorting waste as for other items you don’t use anymore. Store old, but still good clothes or devices away, until you can donate, resell them or find someone who needs them among family and friends.
