We at IKEA stand for equality and fair treatment of people in all circumstances and situations. From our co-workers, suppliers to customers and families living in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities – we always strive to promote equality, diversity and respect for human rights in everything we do, because we believe nobody’s equal till everybody’s equal.

Notice violence

Every third woman in the Baltics has experienced domestic violence at least once in her life. To raise public awareness and to contribute to a better everyday life for the many, we have announced the Corporate Social Responsibility program as a commitment to fight the domestic violence in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Join us in the movement!

Our social partnerships

In partnership with Save the Children and UNICEF, we support social activities on a global level. Meanwhile in the Baltics, we carry out the movement against domestic violence and collaborate with numerous stakeholders including policy makers, NGOs, crisis centres and media partners to look for the long-term solutions together.

Support

We want all programs we fund to match well with the IKEA vision, so we choose our partners by defined criteria:
  • Is the project focused on local problems inside the country?
  • Are goals of the project related to improving children living and learning conditions?
  • Is the project focused on helping children and youth suffering from serious illnesses?
  • Does the project involve local communities and introduce IKEA as a home furnishing specialist?
  • Is the project related to the environmental issues?
  • Is the project related to Save the Children or UNICEF activities?
